A high-level delegation representing JD(U) from Uttar Pradesh have met the Bihar Chief Minister in Patna in this regard. Led by Satyendra Patel, the Convener of Uttar Pradesh JD(U) unit, the delegation included about 75 prominent party leaders and dedicated workers hailing from 10 different Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh.

Nitish Kumar also said that he was feeling bad when Anand Mohan was serving jail term. Anand Mohan, who was recently released from jail after the amendment in the state prison manual, was serving life imprisonment in the Gopalganj DM G. Krishnaiah murder case that happened in Muzaffarpur in 1994.

Terming his Principal Secretary Dipak Kumar as the Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar immediately corrected himself and said that he was the former Chief Secretary of Bihar and not the Chief Minister. Moreover, he was carrying the written speech in AIIMS Patna convocation ceremony, but still he used colloquial words.

It all began when he absent-mindedly called the Bihar Chief Secretary Amir Subhani “chief Mukhya Mantri” while addressing the gathering at an event of the Panchayati Raj Department in Patna. When the officials present there pointed out the error, Nitish Kumar corrected himself but ended up calling himself “Faltu Mukhya Mantri.”

Amid opposition from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA)'s to the caste-based survey, Nitish Kumar's decision to publish the survey may have been the checkmate move of the opposition INDIA bloc against the NDA ahead of the 2024 polls.

"The state government has released the report of the caste survey. We have called for an all party meeting where a senior officer of the government will give a detailed presentation about the survey report. Following that we will take the decision in the interest of common people," he said.

“These are unnecessary statements which have no meaning. If BJP has guts, break JD-U,” Kumar said while interacting with media persons in Patna.

The statement of Lalan Singh came at a time when Nitish Kumar recently met with the PM Narendra Modi during G 20 dinner party at the president house and he also visited the statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay in Patna.

After coming to know that Nitish Kumar is set to visit the statue of Deendayal Upadhyaya, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav also rushed to offer his tribute but reached seven minutes late.

The two leaders had gone to the Chief Minister’s residence to participate in a meeting of the Assembly incharge on Monday.
