As the Lok Sabha election draws near, JD-U leaders have been expressing concerns about the delay in discussions, particularly targeting the Congress. Figures like K.C. Tyagi, Bijendra Yadav, and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary from JD-U have criticized the Congress for the delay in finalizing the seat-sharing formula in Bihar.

The JD-U has emphasized that it currently holds 16 MPs in the Lok Sabha and plans to contest the same number of seats in the upcoming election. With Bihar having 40 Lok Sabha seats, this leaves 24 seats for the RJD, Congress, and Left parties within the INDIA bloc.

Furthermore, JD-U leaders clarified that they will engage in discussions exclusively with the RJD. They suggested that the Congress and Left, being alliance partners of the RJD, should first discuss their seat-sharing arrangement with the RJD, following which the JD-U will engage in discussions with the RJD.
