Lalan Singh Clarifies: No Resignation as JD-U Chief, Reiterates Position

“I have not resigned from the post of national President of the party. The JD-U is intact, and (Bihar Chief Minister) Nitish Kumar is our undisputed leader. Whatever is going on in the media is absolutely false," stated Lalan Singh.

JD-U President Lalan Singh, amid ongoing rumors about his resignation, clarified on Thursday that he had not stepped down from the post. He accused a section of the media of creating confusion by circulating false information.

Nitish Kumar's advisor and chief spokesperson, K.C. Tyagi, questioned the basis for speculation about Lalan Singh's resignation. Tyagi emphasized the long-standing collaboration between Nitish Kumar and Lalan Singh, spanning 48 years, and dismissed any notion of resignation. He strongly refuted the rumors surrounding Lalan Singh's purported resignation.

A party meeting in New Delhi on Thursday saw the participation of Lalan Singh, Nitish Kumar, K.C. Tyagi, and other MPs, MLAs, and ministers from the Bihar government. The national executive committee meeting is scheduled for Friday, indicating the party's commitment to addressing internal matters and maintaining unity.
