On the last day of 2023, the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar released details of the assets of its Cabinet Ministers. According to the data, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has Rs 22,552 in cash and total deposits of Rs 48,000 across three bank accounts. His movable assets amount to Rs 16.84 lakh, and he owns a 1,000 sq ft flat in Delhi's Dwarka area, purchased at Rs 13.78 lakh in 2004 and currently valued at Rs 1.48 crore. Nitish Kumar also possesses 23 head of cattle, including 10 cows.

Contrastingly, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav declared greater wealth. Tejashwi holds Rs 50,000 in cash, while his wife Raj Shree has Rs 1 lakh. Tejashwi has Rs 54 lakh in bank accounts, Rs 5.38 lakh in shares, and 200 grams of gold. His wife owns 480 grams of gold, and their daughter has 200 grams. Tejashwi possesses land in various locations and two luxury cars, including a BMW.

Former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and her son Tej Pratap Yadav jointly have Rs 39 lakh in their bank accounts. Tej Pratap Yadav, the environment, forest, and climate change minister, owns luxury cars, including a BMW and a bike, along with cash, bank deposits, land, and a residential house.

Sumit Singh, the science and technology minister, has cash, fixed deposits, a Qualis SUV, and firearms in his name. The release of these details provides transparency into the financial holdings of Bihar's Cabinet Ministers.
