The institute proudly announced a stellar lineup of top recruiters participating in this season's placement drive.

The NIRF Rankings can be accessed on the official website of NIRF – nirfindia.org. Maintaining its previous year's position, IIT Madras remains at number 1, while IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay hold the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. This year, IIT Kharagpur has lost its 5th position to IIT Roorkee and slipped down to 6th place.

Gaur, who is the Emerson Professor of Manufacturing Management and professor of operations, technology and information management, will begin his role from July 1, a University statement said. Gaur joined the Cornell faculty in 2007 and previously served as associate dean for MBA programs at the Johnson School.

The admit card for the examination will be released on May 29th, 2023 and can be downloaded until June 4th, 2023. The JEE Advanced 2023 exam will have two papers, with Paper 1 conducted from 9 am to 12 pm and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The provisional answer key will be available on June 11th, 2023, and applicants can raise objections if any until June 12th, 2023.

The NCrF is a comprehensive credit framework encompassing elementary, school, higher, and vocational education and training, integrating creditisation of learning in various dimensions, that is academics, vocational skills and experiential learning including relevant experience and professional levels acquired.

According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), along with Indian Vedic Mathematics, Indian Philosophy, Indian Sanskrit and Science and Indian Aesthetics will also be taught in the higher educational institutions. The UGC has in this regard sought for an expression of interest from the institutions across the country.

Around 6.70 lakh candidates had registered for the examination out of which about 5.17 lakh candidates appeared for the GATE 2023 examination. From the number of candidates who has appeared for the examination only around 1 lakh had qualified the exam whereas the pass percentage was nearly 18 percent. 

A police officer told IANS that his batchmates claimed the student was worried about "focusing on studies", and was under "self-inflicted pressure". This is the second such incident reported from the institute in a month. On February 14, an M.Tech student of IIT-Madras was found dead in his hostel room. The institute also said that the parents of the student has been informed, adding it has requested for the privacy of the student's family.

The candidates can check the answer key by visiting the official website of GATE 2023 – https://gate.iitk.ac.in/index.html. GATE 2023 examination was held on 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th of February while the results for the examination is scheduled to be held on 16th of March 2023. The window to challenge the answer key will be opening on 22nd of February.
