UK Foreign Secretary in India, to launch scheme for young professionals

He's visiting India to attend the G20 Foreign Ministers' meeting here and to mark a new scheme allowing young Brits and Indians to live and work in each other's countries for up to two years, which was announced by the Home Secretary earlier this week. During a visit to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi on Wednesday, the Foreign Secretary will mark the opening.
IIT-Delhi students get job offers up to 2 crore rupees

There has been a 45 per cent increase in campus placements in IIT-Delhi in the current year as compared to the previous year. The IT sector tops the campus placements and students from core areas of engineering are another major employers' choice. A record number of over 1,250 jobs have been offered to IIT-Delhi students in the first two weeks of campus placements this year.

The students allege the IIT-M's decision to run only one mess is the reason for the large scale spread of coronavirus. In the mess, one cannot be wearing a mask and a congregation of a good number of persons in the mess is a ripe cause for disaster. A total of 774 students are on the campus and most of those who were infected were residents of two hostels -- Krishna and Jamuna.
