France’s Safran to join hands with DRDO to develop 125 kN engine for India's AMCA: Reports

Two variants of the AMCA will be produced, AMCA MK1 and AMCA MK2. The former will be powered by General Electric engines and the latter will boast the indigenous, powerful engine, as per Girish S. Deodhare, Director General of the Aeronautical Development Authority (ADA), who spoke at an event last week. Also under progress is the development of twin engine deck-based jet which will serve on the aircraft carriers of the Indian Navy.
Indian Air Force exits from Exercise Cobra Warrior in UK

Amidst ongoing Russia-Ukraine War, the Indian Air Force has decided not to deploy its aircraft for Exercise Cobra Warrior 2022 in the United Kingdom.Indian made Light Combat Aircraft Tejas was expected to participate in the military exercise, its debut in overseas war games. In a statement, Indian Air Force said: "In light of the recent events, IAF has decided not to deploy its aircraft for Exercise Cobra Warrior 2022 in UK."
Closure of Ukraine's airspace not to impact India's flight ops to Europe, North America

At present, some India-based airlines, including Air India, operate flights to Europe and North America. But these flight operations do not use the conflicted airspace over Ukraine much. Consequently, hardly any impact is expected to be witnessed on out-bound flights from India to Western Europe. Besides, Air India will not operate its special flights to Kiev anymore after a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) was issued about the closure of airspace over Ukraine.
IAF ready to airlift stranded Indians from Ukraine: MEA

"Ministry of External Affairs is in touch with the Ministry of Defence. We have told them that we will need provisions for airlift. In that case, the IAF can go along with commercial aircraft... All options are on the table," said Shringla. He also said that India's topmost priority is the safety and security of Indian nationals and their evacuation. He also stated that flight options are available through Dubai and Istanbul.

These three fighter jets are fitted with India-specific enhancements (ISEs) which enhance the prowess of the country’s air force to combat aggression from rival countries.
LCA Tejas to be part of multi-nation exercise in UK

The aircraft will be part of the Indian Air Force contingent, which will participate in a multi-nation air exercise named 'Ex Cobra Warrior 22' at Waddington, UK from March 6 to March 22. The exercise is aimed at providing operational exposure and to share best practices amongst the participating Air Forces, thereby enhancing combat capability and forging bonds of friendship.
Aerial combat, individual formations highlight Day 2 of IAF-RAFO's bilateral exercise

This is the sixth edition of the exercise which will provide an opportunity to enhance operational capability and interoperability between the two air forces. On Tuesday, the second day of the bilateral exercise, there were interactions and familiarisation carried out with men and machines which were followed by preparations for aerial combat.
LCA Tejas set to debut at Singapore Air Show

India’s indigenously produced light combat aircraft (LCA) fighter jet Tejas will display its flying prowess for the first time at the Singapore Airshow 2022. The airshow, organized by Experia Events, will be held between 15th and 18th February.For the itinerary, the airshow will have eight flying displays as well as flypasts. The birds on display will be from the Air Forces of four countries and a couple of commercial companies.

The fly-past will involve participation from one Dakota in the vintage Tangail formation and two Dornier flying in a Vic formation, said IAF PRO Wing Commander Indranil Nandi at a press briefing.  This will be a tribute to the Tangail airdrop operation-single largest airdrop involving Indian Paratroopers which led to the surrender of 93000 strong Pakistan Army- undertaken during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.
