The India Meteorological Department (IMD) classifies fog into four categories – shallow, moderate, dense, and very dense, with visibility ranging from 999m to 500m, 499m to 200m, 199m to 50m, and < 50m, respectively.

The maximum temperature for the day is expected to be around 24 degrees Celsius with mainly clear skies, as per the weather department. During a press conference held after a high-level meeting involving Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other senior officials, Rai confirmed, "Given the severity of air pollution, the Odd-Even vehicle system will be in effect for one week, starting from November 13th to November 20th."
