The L-G has directed Chief Secretary to implement the September 2016 order of the Supreme Court appointed Committee on Content Regulation in Government Advertising (CCRGA) and the pursuant order of Directorate of Information & Publicity (DIP), GNCTD, directing AAP to pay Rs 97,14,69,137 plus interest, to the state exchequer, for political advertisements that it got published/telecast in the garb of government advertisements.

Taking to Twitter, the senior party leader said: "Bharat Jodo Yatra will reach Delhi in the evening of 24th December. After that there will be a break of nine days, so that the containers can be repaired and prepared for the harsh winter in the north.

"When Kejriwal, who talks big about nationalism, keeps silent on Pakistan's indecent remarks towards India on the international stage in his party's national convention, then it becomes clear how hollow his nationalism is," Delhi BJP's Working President Virendra Sachdeva said.

Delhi State President Adesh Gupta resigned from his post taking responsibility for the party's defeat after falling behind the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Accepting his resignation, BJP National President J.P. Nadda appointed Vice President Virendra Sachdeva as the acting President on December 11.

Accusing the Kejriwal-led government of depriving 72.78 lakh ration cardholders of the national capital from the ration in November and December, Delhi Pradesh BJP Working President Virendra Sachdeva and Leader of Opposition Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said the rationing system in the national capital has come to a complete standstill.

As per the report submitted by the committee, Sukesh has reiterated his charges of giving Rs 60 crore to Satyendar Jain (Rs 50 crore for securing Rajya Sabha seat from AAP and Rs 10 crore as protection money) and paying another Rs 12.50 crore to the then Director General (Prison) Sandeep Goel.

After the file was approved by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who hold charge of the Urban Development Department, and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, it was sent to Raj Niwas on December 14 and the LG accorded his approval on the file on the same day itself.

Chaudhary has not indicated that he will quit, defending himself by noting that vote percentage of the party has increased, but now senior leaders are talking about responsibility and accountability in both Delhi and Gujarat. The party's Gujarat in charge Raghu Sharma has already sent his resignation to party President Mallikarjun Kharge.

In a tweet, Arvind Kejriwal said, "Vote for honest party, vote for decent and good people. Do not vote for those who abuse corruption, hooliganism. Do not vote for those who litter Delhi. Vote for those who will make Delhi shine and clean.Vote for those who work, don't vote for those who stop working".

While the Aam Aadmi Party is looking to gain greater control over the national capital with the civic body polls, the BJP has put in all efforts to continue its reign. Voting started at 8 a.m. and as per the state election commission, polling station gates will be shut at 5.30 p.m., after which only those already inside can vote.
