Delhi Assembly adjourned for day amid sloganeering by BJP, AAP MLAs

The House saw repeated adjournments within an hour after it met around 11 a.m. for the first day of the session. As a mark of protest against Delhi government's inaction to deal with the deteriorating air quality, the BJP MLAs arrived at the Assembly carrying oxygen cylinders and wearing masks.

Delhi excise policy case: CBI seizes computer from Manish Sisodia's office

The CBI had served a notice under Section 91 of the CrPC before visiting Sisodia's office. According to sources, the CBI needed the computer as it wants to access a few information from it. "We have seized the computer after following the due process of law. There are possibilities of tampering with evidence and hence we have seized it," a source in the CBI said.

'LG office refused to give time for appointment to CM Kejriwal'

"The LG had invited the CM for discussion over existing conflict over governance powers yesterday (Monday). CM had immediately written back accepting the invite and sought an appointment today (Tuesday). Refusing a timely appointment, LG Office said that the LG does not have time to meet the CM before Friday 4 p.m.," a source said.

Addressing the media, Saurabh Bharadwaj further said: "We have been asking the L-G over the past week to come out and give a clear statement stating that the nominated councillors will not be allowed to vote for the election of the Mayor. This is what is written in the Constitution and the DMC Act and the L-G is bound by duty to obey the rules, but the L-G and the BJP have been trying otherwise."
