The agency claimed that Chandrashekhar, who is currently lodged in the Tihar Jail on charges of money laundering and duping several people, indulged in money laundering, impersonation of public officials --including those holding constitutional posts -- and extortion. Chandrashekhar and his wife had moved the top court seeking transfer to a prison outside Delhi claiming security threat to his lives inside the jail. The top court agreed to hear the matter on Tuesday.
Two of six assailants who gunned down Moosewala held from Gujarat
The two accused shooters, identified as Priyavrat alias Fauji (26), a resident of Sonipat in Haryana, and Kashish alias Kuldeep (24), a resident of Jhajjar in Haryana, were arrested from Kutch district in Gujarat on Sunday. Addressing the media here on Monday, Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), H.S. Dhaliwal, said that Priyavrat was the head of the module of gangsters who led the team of shooters.
Moosewala Murder: Shooters planned to use grenades had guns not worked
"The shooters had kept grenades as a back-up plan in case the guns didn't work," Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), H.S. Dhaliwal, said in a media briefing. The disclosure by the Special Cell came after it arrested two main shooters and their facilitator, who were involved in the May 29 killing of Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala.

Delhi-bound flight catches fire midway, makes emergency landing in Patna
A senior SpiceJet official told IANS that a SpiceJet B737-800 aircraft was operating from Patna to Delhi. On takeoff, during rotation, the cockpit crew suspected a bird hit on one of the engines. "As a precautionary measure and as per SOP, the captain shut down the affected engine and decided to return to Patna," the official said, adding that the aircraft landed safely in Patna and passengers were safely deboarded. Post flight inspection showed a bird hit with 3 fan blades got damaged.

Delhi reports drop in daily Covid cases, deaths rise to three
Meanwhile, the Covid positivity rate has also slightly dropped to 7.71 per cent in the city, but the number of active cases has risen to 5,119. With 1,255 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries has gone to 18,89,211. The number of patients being treated in home isolation stands at 3,370. With new Covid cases, the total caseload of the city has jumped to 19,20,559 while the death toll has reached 26,229.
Agnipath Protests: Bihar police lodge 138 FIRs, arrest 716 offenders
"There were 30 police personnel deployed in Masaudhi where more than 400 youth arrived and started pelting stones on the police party. The police initially tried to disperse them, but as they were present in large numbers, they managed to create a ruckus in the area and even set some vehicles on fire. The situation was brought under control only after the SSP and the DM went there with a large force," Singh said.
