Protest against Udaipur killing: Delhi Police detain nearly 70 members of Bajrang Dal, VHP
Amrutha Guguloth further said that no FIR has been registered in this incident. The members of VHP and Bajrang Dal gathered at the Jantar Mantar and raised slogans against the Udaipur barbarism and demanded justice for the deceased tailor. The members were seen holding placards that read give death sentence to Hindu killers', we won't let India turn into a Taliban state', among several others.
Twitter account that alerted police about Zubair's tweet 'vanishes'
As per the FIR copy of the case, accessed by IANS, the account, Hanuman Bhakt, bore the username @balajikijaiin. Zubair, 33, is currently in police custody and is being questioned over one of his objectionable tweets which he posted in 2018. After Zubair's tweet, his followers on social media amplified and created a series of debates and hate mongering in the thread.
First batch of Amarnath Yatra 2022 leaves for Valley
The batch including 717 pilgrims who left for the north Kashmir Baltal base camp, was flagged off from Bhagwati Nagar base camp by Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha around 5.30 a.m. on Wednesday. The Amarnath Yatra 2022 begins on June 30 and it will conclude on August 11 on Shravan Purnima coinciding with the Raksha Bandhan festival. Zubair's case is not politically motivated: Delhi Police
"It is not right to call this case politically motivated. He had been evasive during the questioning, which basically formed the ground of his arrest," Deputy Commissioner of Police (IFSO, Special Cell), K.P.S. Malhotra, told IANS. Zubair, 33, was arrested by the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of Delhi Police's Special Cell for allegedly posting a controversial tweet that hurt sentiments of a particular religious community.
