Udaipur horror accused's bike had 26/11 Mumbai attack date as number plate

Sources said that Riyaz's bike, RJ 27 AS 2611, was bought by him to remember the terror attack in Mumbai on November 26, 2011. The police team is working on collecting further details of the purchase of the bike and how the accused took the special number. Reportedly, the bike number 2611 was taken after depositing an additional Rs 5,000 in 2013.

Despite regional disparities, June rainfall ends 'normal' for all India

India totalled 152.3 mm rainfall as against the normal of 165.3 mm registering a departure of minus 8 per cent. In India Meteorological Department (IMD) parlance, a departure of plus/minus 19 per cent is considered as 'normal' rainfall. At state levels, 13 states and three UTs have received 'deficit' rainfall (minus 59 per cent to minus 20 per cent departure) while Delhi at minus 70 per cent departure has registered large deficit.
NIA changes plan fearing attack, Udaipur accused to be grilled in Rajasthan

"There are many more involved in the incident. It was a larger conspiracy which was executed in a well-planned manner. Not all those involved in hatching the conspiracy to execute the killing have been arrested yet. And we don't want any untoward incident, as we have inputs that the accused might be attacked. Pardiwala that the Director General (Prisons) at Tihar jail is trying to extort money from his client. Basant insisted on his client, who apprehends threat to his life, transfer to a jail outside Delhi. Additional Solicitor General S.V. Raju contended that Sukesh had extorted Rs 300 crore from sitting inside the jail, and when authorities concerned are taking action, he wants a transfer to a jail outside Delhi.

The NIA sources said that both the accused would be brought to the national capital in most confidential manner. The security agencies have doubts that different groups can attack them and hence they are taking it seriously. Monsoon arrives in Delhi bringing respite from sweltering heat

The IMD has also said that there would be a fall in maximum temperature by 4-6 degrees Celsius during next three days over the northwest India.
