Over 50,000 perform Amarnath Yatra so far
Official sources said over 50,000 Yatris had Darshan inside the cave shrine till Sunday evening. "17,000 pilgrims had Darshan yesterday inside the cave shrine. So far, over 50,000 have performed the Yatra. "Another batch of 7,276 Yatris left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu for the Valley today. Of these, 2895 pilgrims are going to the Baltal base camp while 4,381 are going to the Pahalgam base camp", sources said.
Masks disappear in Kolkata Metro, doctors worried

Aneel Mussarat wins defamation case against Indian TV channel for calling him 'ISI stooge': Report
Aneel Mussarat had taken legal action at the UK high court after Republic TV called him a "stooge" of the main Pakistani spy agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and accused him of spreading terror in India during a show aired in the UK on July 22, 2020, the report said. The high court in London held that there was no evidence behind assertions that Aneel Mussarat was an "ISI stooge".
Amarnath Yatra: Over 40,000 pilgrims have 'darshan' in first 4 days
Officials said so far since the Yatra started on June 30, 40,233 pilgrims visited the cave shrine, situated 3,888 metres above the sea level, and housing an ice stalagmite structure that wanes and waxes with the phases of the moon. Devotees believe the structure represents mythical powers of Lord Shiva. Officials said 5 devotees have so far died during the Yatra.

Sources said that 8,773 pilgrims left for the Valley in two escorted convoys. These include 2,618 Yatris bound for Baltal base camp and 6,155 bound for Pahalgam base camp. Sources said so far over 15,000 pilgrims have had Darshan inside the cave shrine situated 3,888 metres above the sea level in Anantnag district. Those using the 14 kms long Baltal route return to the base camp the same day after performing the Yatra. Those using the traditional Pahalgam route take four days one-way to trek the 48 kms long trek to reach the shrine.
Amravati murder: NIA to probe if accused had Pak links
Earlier on Saturday, the Ministry of Home Affairs had handed over the investigation of the case to the NIA. The NIA team has collected the CCTV footages. "We will probe whether the accused arrested in the case had any Pakistan connection or not. We will probe it in the same way we are probing the Udaipur incident," an official said. The murder took place on June 21. The police found in the probe that he was killed for supporting Nupur Sharma.
Delhi's Covid tally drops to 678, 2 fresh deaths
