"I do not agree with the statement of Jagadanand Singh. If the party has taken a decision to object to Ram Charit Manas and Ram, a meeting should be organized in presence of Tejashwi Yadav and a decision taken then. As far as my knowledge is concerned, there is no such decision taken by the party to object to Ram Charit Manas and Ram," he said.

According to sources, Upendra Kushwaha is the most popular name for the post of second deputy chief minister. During the NDA government, two deputy chief ministers from BJP -- Tar Kishor Prasad and Renu Devi -- held the post and one of the deputy CM posts was vacant in Mahagathbandhan government in the state.

Sources said that Mandal has given a fresh statement on the direction of the RJD's top leadership. The RJD leadership is facing an uneasy situation with Nitish Kumar and the JD-U after former agriculture minister Sudhakar Singh called Nitish Kumar Shikhandi, night watchman and beggar.

While interacting with former minister and BJP MLA Jibesh Mishra, RJD MLA Vijay Kumar Mandal said that the government of Nitish Kumar is becoming "autocratic" now and the BJP is responsible for it. Mishra, on the other hand, blamed Mandal's party and the Mahagathbandhan for making Nitish Kumar government autocratic.

"We are waiting for 'Kharmas' (a month beginning mid-December and ending on Makar Sakranti in mid-January, and considered unauspicious) to finish. Then we are expecting that RJD would take disciplinary action against Sudhakar Singh," he said.

Manjhi also asked Tejashwi Yadav to take action against him immediately. "The way Sudhakar Singh is using words for CM Nitish Kumar is highly objectionable. Theoretically, everyone has a right to protest or support in social and political life but it should have some dignity. After resigning from the ministry, Sudhakar Singh put all modesty aside and made derogatory remarks against the chief minister of Bihar. Even, he is not withdrawing his statements," Manjhi said. While quoting the statement of Tejashwi Yadav, who said that the matter has been put into the cognizance of Lalu Prasad,

"Nitish Kumar used to go to Delhi holding a 'katora' (bowl) in his hand and demand special status of Bihar from the Central government. On the other hand, he is going to purchase a jet worth Rs 350 crore to live his lavish lifestyle. You would not see such a bheekmanga (beggar) in the entire world who travels in a jet worth Rs 350 crore and hold's a bowl in his hand for begging," Sudhakar Singh said at the gathering organised by the RJD's Kaimur wing.

Sanjay Kumar Jha, water resource development minister in the Bihar government, claimed that there is no fear in Bihar.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), however, clarified that it is Siddiqui's his own statement made in his personal capacity, and the party has nothing to do with it.

The bill was introduced by BJP member Kirodi Lal Meena.
