Ganeshamurthi's question whether the incidents of terror attacks are rising in the country, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai told the Lok Sabha, in a written reply, that "situation has improved significantly in Jammu and Kashmir and that there has been a substantial decline in terrorist attacks from 417 in 2018 to 229 in 2021". The minister also said that 244 terrorist incidents happened in Jammu and Kashmir in 2020 while the number decreased to 229 in 2021.

According to the information, the construction of the new Parliament building, being built at a cost of Rs 1,200 crore, is expected to be completed by the end of 2022 or early 2023. On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the National Emblem cast on the roof of the new parliament building. After questioning why the Prime Minister, head of the Executive, unveiled the National Emblem, the opposition parties said that the cast has been modified. While the government said it is an adaptation from the Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka, the BJP has claimed that there is no change.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, union ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Pralhad Joshi and others were present on the occasion. Rajya Sabha vice-chairman Harivansh was also present. The National Emblem is made of bronze with a total weight of 9,500 Kilograms and is 6.5 meter in height. It has been cast at the top of the Central Foyer of New Parliament Building. A supporting structure of steel weighing around 6,500 Kg has been constructed to support the emblem.

They have called for fresh and time-bound procurement of new fighter aircrafts, in a report which was tabled in the Parliament on Wednesday. “During evidence, the representatives of the Air Force submitted that the present authorized strength of the squadron is 42. It was further stated that the total technical life of most of the existing squadron is expiring and consequently, the squadron strength is progressively depleting,” the report said.
