Special session in new building from Tuesday after programme on Parliamentary legacy

According to sources, after a group photo session of the members of both the Houses at 9:30 a.m., a function titled 'Legacy of Parliament of India and Making Bharat Developed by 2047' will be held in the Central Hall between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. After this, the special session will resume in the new Parliament building at 1:15 p.m.

“We will move to the new Parliament building tomorrow, but this old building will always inspire the generations to come,” he said in his address in the Lok Sabha. He said that it is an emotional moment to bid goodbye to this building as there are many bitter-sweet memories which have been associated with the old Parliament building.

According to official sources, the special session, which also includes consideration and possible passage of four bills, will continue till September 22 and is likely to be held in the new Parliament building. The Parliamentary committee on Privileges will also present its report in both the Houses on Monday.
