ED team to question Sisodia in Tihar Jail

The ED has taken the necessary permissions from the authorities concerned and a team will be in the jail at 11 a.m. There are possibilities that the ED might arrest Sisodia after the questioning. The ED will question him in connection with the alleged kickbacks of Rs 100 crore which the AAP party/leaders allegedly received through hawala channels from a South Group.
Delhi court sends Manish Sisodia to judicial custody till March 20

Special Judge M.K. Nagpal of the Rouse Avenue Courts ordered: "An application to send the accused to judicial custody has been filed. It is submitted that the police custody is no longer required and the same may be sought later, if required. In view of the submission made, the accused is sent to judicial custody till March 20."
Sisodia to be lodged in Tihar's Jail number 1

According to prison officials, Sisodia will be lodged in Jail number 1 after the due formalities. Asked about Sisodia seeking spectacles, Bhagawad Geeta, a diary and a pen inside the prison, which was also allowed by the court, the official said that they will also see the specific order, if any. A Delhi court on Monday sent Sisodia to judicial custody till March 20 in the alleged liquor policy scam being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Sisodia's remand ends today, CBI may not seek further custody

Sources have claimed that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) may not seek his further custodial remand. The sources also said that during the questioning, Sisodia was confronted with his former secretary C. Arvind, former Excise Commissioner Arva Gopi and a few more witnesses in the case. The CBI sources have claimed that Sisodia was evasive and not speaking.

The former deputy of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI on February 26 in connection with the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy. Meanwhile, Sisodia through his counsel said before the Rouse Avenue Courts on Saturday that Holi is a festival he wants to celebrate. His counsel argued that Sisodia should be released so that he could celebrate Holi, after which he will surrender. However, the court was not convinced with this argument, as it extended Sisodia's custody by two more days.

Special CBI Judge M.K. Nagpal of the Rouse Avenue Court has also listed Sisodia's bail plea for March 10. The AAP leader while addressing the court said that the CBI were asking the same questions again and again and it is mental harassment. "They are not using third degree. But sitting for eight to nine hours and answering same questions again and again, that too, is mental harassment," he told the Court.
Delhi court reserves order on CBI seeking extension of Sisodia's remand

Special CBI Judge M.K. Nagpal has also listed Sisodia's bail plea for March 10. During the hearing, the CBI counsel while seeking three days extension of remand said that Sisodia is not cooperating and he was interrogated daily till almost till around 8 p.m. Opposing the extension of remand, Senior Advocate Dayan Krishnan appearing for Sisodia said that the inefficiency.
