Making his submission before a bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice S.V.N. Bhatti, ASG S.V. Raju, appearing for the Enforcement Directorate (ED), said that he had been instructed to say that the ED is considering making the Aam Admi Party an accused in the ongoing investigation in the PMLA case.

“Re-list the case for hearing on interim relief and the regular bail application on September 4,” a bench Justices Sanjiv Khanna and S.V.N. Bhatti ordered while adjourning the matter. Appearing for Sisodia, senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi urged the apex court to grant Sisodia interim bail to meet his ailing wife Seema, saying that it was a “humanitarian” and “genuine” issue.

In a tweet from its official handle, the AAP said: "Another shameful lie of Modi's ED. Of the total assets attached by ED today only a bank account containing Rs 11 lakh and a flat of the value of Rs 5 lakh of Sisodia have been attached. The assets belonging to Sisodia is total upto the value of Rs 16 lakh only."

The ED said in a statement that the agency has attached assets worth Rs 52.24 crore belonging to Sisodia, Amandeep Singh Dhall, Rajesh Joshi, Gautam Malhotra and others in connection with the case. The agency said that the attached assets include immovable properties worth Rs 7.29 crore -- including two immovable properties of Sisodia and his wife Seema Sisodia, land/flat of Joshi or Chariot Productions Media Pvt Ltd and land/flat of Malhotra.

Special Judge M.K. Nagpal of Rouse Avenue Courts, however, directed mediapersons to maintain a safe distance from Sisodia, who is in judicial custody in connection with the excise policy case, and not conduct interviews with him.

On Monday, the Delhi High Court refused to grant bail to senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader. During their last attempt to meet, Sisodia couldn't see his wife as she had to be hospitalized in Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital due to her deteriorating condition. The court has also instructed the media not to be present during his visit to meet his wife, as media personnel had previously attempted to speak to him.
