The Tihar authorities said that Sisodia will remain in jail. The senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader has been arrested a day before the hearing on his bail plea in the matter. Earlier on Thursday, a team of ED went to Tihar jail to question him in connection with the excise policy scam case. The ED sources told IANS that they had got permission to question Sisodia for three days.

"Today, the politics of jail seems to be successful, but the future of India's politics lies in education. Education is also in politics. India will become the Vishwaguru not because of how much strength the jails have, but because of the power of education in the country. In today's politics of India, the politics of jail has a heavy upper hand, but the coming days will be the education of politics," Sisodia wrote in the letter "addressed to the countrymen".

"Manish Sisodia has been a part of a big chain of financial beneficiaries in the Delhi liquor scam. Legal media reports had always suggested that the day inquiry of Telangana Chief Minister's daughter K. Kavita gets started, Manish Sisodia, too, will land up in ED custody," Sachdeva added.

"Manish was first arrested by the CBI. The CBI did not find any evidence, no money was found in the raids. There is a bail hearing tomorrow. Manish would have been released tomorrow. So today ED arrested him. They have only one intention to keep Manish inside at any cost, creating new fake cases everyday. The public is watching and will answer," Kejriwal said in a tweet in Hindi.

The ED made the arrest after questioning Sisodia for hours inside the Tihar jail as part of its money laundering probe into the alleged irregularities in the 2021-22 excise policy of Delhi, officials said. Sisodia was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 26 in the same case and he is currently in judicial custody till March 20.

The response comes days after nine Opposition leaders wrote to Prime Minister Modi against the arrest of former Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and alleging that BJP was "misusing" the Central agencies to scare the opposition. Addressing a press conference here, BJP MP and former State President Manoj Tiwari said that all the corrupt people.

ED sources told IANS that the agency has got permission to quiz Sisodia for three days. Like Tuesday, the ED reached Tihar jail at 11 a.m. on Wednesday and questioned Sisodia about the alleged kickbacks of Rs 100 crore which the AAP/its leaders received through hawala channel from the South Group.

The statement comes after the Aam Aadmi party raised objections over Sisodia being kept in Tihar Jail number 1 with dreaded criminals. today, on the auspicious festival of Holi, the enmity of BJP has reached such an extent with the AAP that Manish Sisodia who gave an education model, has been kept in jail.

A senior CBI official told IANS that Sharma joined the probe on Tuesday and was being interrogated. "While questioning Sisoda, his PA's alleged role emerged after which we decided to question him," said the official. Sisodia was sent to judicial custody by a Special CBI court after the probe agency told the court that he wasn't required for further interrogation. CBI has filed one chargesheet.
