In Assam, the BJP secured nine of the fourteen seats in the general elections of 2019. AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal defeated the party in Dhubri, and the Congress won three seats -- Nagaon, Kaliabor and Barpeta.

The party plans rallies in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Patna, all without the INDIA bloc's participation. Political analysts suggest JD-U aims to strengthen its position in Bihar, ranking third in terms of the number of MLAs.
