Rahul Gandhi is foreigner at heart, says Giriraj Singh

Addressing reporters in Bihar's Begusarai, Giriraj Singh said, "Rahul Gandhi is a foreigner and that is why he likes to go on foreign trips. He does not like to stay in India. He creates a ruckus in the country and then embarks on his foreign trip."

Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday attacked the Leader of Opposition-LoP, in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi over his proposed three-day visit to the US starting September 8 and said that the Congress leader is a "foreigner" at heart and that's the reason for his preference to undertake foreign tours.

Addressing reporters in Bihar's Begusarai, Giriraj Singh said, "Rahul Gandhi is a foreigner and that is why he likes to go on foreign trips. He does not like to stay in India. He creates a ruckus in the country and then embarks on his foreign trip."

This is going to be the maiden foreign tour of Rahul Gandhi as LoP of the Lower House of Parliament. He is scheduled to visit Dallas in Texas on September 8 and Washington DC on September 9 and 10.

IOC chief Sam Pitroda said that the whole Indian diaspora including NRI residents, technocrats, business leaders, students, the media and even political leaders, all were 'anxious' to welcome the MP from Congress and had a great hope of interaction with him.

Pitroda further said he was 'bombarded' with questions about Rahul Gandhi's US visit from all quarters and his video message was apparently to inform the people as to what Congress leader's short but highly expected visit to the US is all about.

On this, Giriraj Singh sarcastically remarked, "There would be no problem if his name is changed to 'foreigner'."

The Union Minister also accused Rahul Gandhi, National Conference Vice President Farooq Abdullah, and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti of dynastic politics over the forthcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly election. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to conduct these elections, now being organised.

He said, "A democratic announcement of elections has been made in J&K. Till now, the dynastic politics played by the Congress party, Farooq Abdullah, or the Muftis have exploited the poor in Kashmir. On the other hand, PM Modi established democracy by conducting Panchayat elections, and now Assembly elections are being held."
