The CBI has summoned RJD chief and former Union Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and 14 others under land for job scam in Patna and Rabri Devi had given the CBI time for questioning on Monday. Special Judge Geetanjali Goel of Rouse Avenue Courts observed that, prima facie, the on-record report shows that offences have been committed under diffrent sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act.

An official said the CBI furnished the prosecution sanction letter before the concerned court. The CBI had in October last year in its chargesheet named 16 accused including Lalu Prasad, his wife, daughter, then GM of Central Railways, then Chief Personnel Officer (CPO), private persons, and some candidates in the matter.

Rohini Acharya, the second eldest daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav who donated one of her kidneys to her father, lives with her family in Singapore. The operation for the kidney transplant was successfully completed in Mount Elizabeth hospital in Singapore on Monday and both the donor and the recipient are healthy.
