PM Modi talks to Tejashwi, discusses health status of Lalu Prasad, daughter

Tejashwi Yadav informed the Prime Minister about the health status of Lalu Prasad and sister Rohini Acharya, who donated a kidney to her father. Modi also wished for the speedy recovery of Lalu Prasad and his daughter Rohini Acharya. Besides Modi, Bihar Chief Minister NItish Kumar also interacted with Tejashwi Yadav and took update of the health status of the father-daughter duo.

Rohini Acharya, the second eldest daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav who donated one of her kidneys to her father, lives with her family in Singapore. The operation for the kidney transplant was successfully completed in Mount Elizabeth hospital in Singapore on Monday and both the donor and the recipient are healthy.

Following the successful transplant, Tejashwi released a video from his official Twitter account and said that his father Lalu Prasad and sister Rohini were fine after the operation.

Rohini Acharya, who is very active on twitter and critical of the Narendra Modi government, resides in Singapore along with her husband and children. Recently, Lalu Prasad had visited Singapore where the doctors subjected him to a series of tests. Along with him, Rohini also underwent the test as a donor and the doctors gave their approval for the transplant.
