"BJP is a party of rioters and every party bowed down before it but I never did till now. I assure you that Lalu Prasad Yadav will never bow down before them. I may not get jail if I bow down before them. I went to jail but never compromised with them," he said while addressing the party workers during the Rajya Parishad meeting at RJD's head office located at Veerchand Patel Path here.

With this, the decks have been cleared for him to go to Singapore for the kidney transplant. After he was convicted in a fodder scam, his passport was seized in 2017. The RJD chief, Lalu Prasad Yadav who is currently on bail, is suffering from many diseases including infection in kidneys, lungs, blood pressure and others. Both his kidneys are damaged up to 75 per cent.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh responding to a questions said that, "opposition unity does not mean that Congress should be weak and our allies should understand that they will not allow Congress to weaken and a strong Congress will be the pillar in opposition unity." Referring to RJD symbol with the Bhojpuri song on her handle, Lalu Prasad's daughter Rohini Acharya tweeted, "Prepare for the coronation, the lantern carriers are coming." The song has been sung by Bhojpuri singer Khesari Lal Yadav that was released before the Bihar Legislative Council elections. The song has some lines that calls RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav to become Bihar's leader. "Tejashwi ke bina sudhaar na hoyi (There can be no progress without Tejashwi)."

As the tenure of the current Vice President Venkaiah Naidu is ending on August 10, Dhankhar will take over as the new Vice President of the country on August 11. As per the schedule, the current Monsoon Session of Parliament is to conclude on August 12, but if the Parliament session does not conclude before the scheduled time, then Dhankhar, as the Chairman of Rajya Sabha can conduct the proceedings of the Upper House for the last two days of the current session.

Sudhir Kumar Sinha, Lalu Prasad's lawayer has moved an application pertaining to renewal of his client's passport in the special CBI court of Justice Mahesh Kumar in Patna. Earlier, Lalu Prasad, who is convicted in the fodder scam, filed an application for the renewal of passport in the special CBI court of Ranchi and the court had already allowed the same on June 14.

PM Modi on Wednesday said that Lalu Prasad Yadav's family had used Hridayanand Chaudhary, a fourth-grade railway employee ('Khalasi') at Rajendra Nagar terminus railway station in Patna, as a pawn for the transaction involving 2.5 'Katha' land in Patna worth Rs 70 lakh when the RJD Chief was the Union Railways Minister from 2004-2009. As per the information collected by the Central Bureau Of Investigation, Bhola Yadav appeared as a witness in more than 40 land registries being done in the names of Lalu Prasad Yadav's family members.

"My in-laws are victimising me and demanding crore of rupees from me as compensation. They have also abused my mother and father. My father is having several diseases and currently recuperating in hospital. I was facing the plight for the last 4 years due to the divorce case currently underway in the family court," Tej Pratap said on Facebook Live.

According to sources, preparations for the same have already started and an air ambulance is expected to reach Patna airport shortly. The air ambulance is likely to take off for the national capital at 4.30 p.m. Lalu Yadav's wife former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, sons Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav and daughter Misa Bharti will also accompany him in the air ambulance apart from expert medical team and crew members.

"I want to meet the Speaker of Bihar Vidhan Sabha for two minutes. I have some personal issues. You people know the meaning of my two minutes," he said. Though Tej Pratap Yadav did not elaborate, political circles and media understand the reference. On that occasion, the RJD leader's action drew heavy flak from all sections. Now, his "two minute" remark has again created a flutter.
