ED attaches Lalu Prasad family's properties worth Rs 6.02 Cr in land-for-job scam case

The properties are situated in Ghaziabad and Patna areas of Bihar. The central investigating agency has initiated PMLA investigation based on CBI’s FIR. The CBI had registered a case against Lalu Yadav, the then Union Railway Minister, his wife Rabri Devi, two daughters, and 15 others, including unknown public servants and private persons.

Talking to mediapersons at the Patna airport, Lalu Prasad said that he is going to Delhi for some blood tests and on his return, he will attend the opposition unity meet in Bengaluru. “BJP is worried since I returned to Bihar’s political scene. I am fully fit and preparing for the farewell of Narendra Modi from the Centre. They (BJP) will not return to power in 2024,” Lalu Prasad said.

Before the Rouse Avenue Court, the probe agency filed a charge sheet against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and their son and Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. CBI through its Special Public Prosecutor Advocate DP Singh apprised the court that a fresh chargesheet is filed in the case, despite a chargesheet already being filed because the alleged act is committed with a different modus operandi.
