Soldier found dead in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla
Police sources said that an army soldier, identified as Rahul Bhagat, son of Anand Bhagat of Maharashtra, was found dead in a pool of blood with gunshot wound in his chest inside a camp in the Boniyar area of Uri tehsil.
2 terrorists killed in Kashmir encounter identified
On Friday, a joint cordon and search operation was launched by the police, army and SSB based on a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists in Yedipora village. Police said they have been identified the slain terrorists as Yawar Shafi Bhat, a resident of Kalampora in Pulwama, and Aamir Hussain Bhat, from Veshro in Shopian. As per police records, both of them were categorised terrorists and had recently joined terrorist ranks.

In a statement, the apex court said: "The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 28th September, 2022 has recommended transfer of the following Chief Justices of high courts: Justice S. Muralidhar from Orissa High Court to Madras High Court and Justice Pankaj Mithal from Jammu and Kashmir High Court to Rajasthan High Court.

The encounter took place on Tuesday in the Ahwatoo area. "On receipt of specific human information from JKP (Kulgam) regarding presence of terrorists in Avhotu village of Kulgam District, a joint cordon and search operation was launched in the area by Indian Army along with JKP and CRPF at about 3.20 p.m. on 27 Sep 22," the Army said in a statement.

"The killed two categorised Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists have been identified as Mohammad Shafi Ganie of Batpora, Kulgam, and Mohammad Asif Wani alias Yawar of Takia Gopalpora, Kulgam. Two AK-47 rifles, ammunition recovered," Jammu and Kashmir Police quoting Additional Director General of Police (Kashmir), Vijay Kumar tweeted.

The inspection of the project will be done on September 26 and the project will be inaugurated on October 2. The efforts of security agencies have borne fruit with districts like Kupwara in north Kashmir bordering the LoC now becoming militancy-free. J&K Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh on Friday said that in recent times some infiltration attempts were made, however, majority of them were foiled strongly. He added that a couple of times some infiltrators managed to sneak to this part for which strategies have been made to track them down.

As per sources in intelligence agencies, Pakistan's ISI is directly managing the launchpads of terrorists and they have also helped terror groups to set up camps along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. Not only this, terrorists are also being given training for infiltration and attacks. Indian intelligence agencies have come to know that terrorist organizations have set up their camps a few kms from the LoC.
