4 terrorists killed in 2 separate encounters in Kashmir in 12 hrs

Police and security forces neutralized two terrorists in an anti-terrorist operation in Tral area of Awantipora while two terrorists were also killed in an encounter by Police and security forces in Shopian, taking the toll to four in the last 12 hours. "Based on specific information generated by Police regarding presence of terrorists in village Hardumir, Tral area of Awantipora, a joint cordon and search operation was launched by Awantipora Police and Army,".

"Two unidentified terrorists killed. Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition recovered," the police said. Earlier in the day, a joint team of the police and the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about presence of terrorists.
Delimitation Commission proposes 6 seats for Jammu, 1 for Kashmir

The sources also said that the Commission arrived at the proposal to add more seats after the discussion with its five associate members held on Monday. The Commission, headed by former Supreme Court Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, had a meeting with the five Lok Sabha members from Jammu and Kashmir for the consultations and were asked to respond to the proposal by December 31 this year.
3 Pak terrorists killed in Kashmir within 33 days

"Three Pakistani terrorists killed in Srinagar City within 33 days," police said. "They were involved in several terror crimes including attacks on Police/ Security forces and civilian killings. It shows that Pakistan is hell-bent to disturb peace in Valley especially in Srinagar City," the J&K Police quoting Inspector General Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar tweeted. On Sunday, one Lashkat-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist, a Pakistani national, was killed at Harwan on the outskirts of Srinagar.
Top LeT commander killed in Kashmir gunfight

Vijay Kumar, Inspector General of Police Kashmir said that the wanted LeT commander was killed in a brief gunfight in the Harwan area. Kumar said, "Khalid, resident of Karachi, Pakistan, was active since 2016 and was active in the Harwan-Dhara belt."
LeT militant killed in Srinagar outskirts

Police said an LeT militant was killed in a brief encounter with the security forces in Dharbagh Dhara area of Harwan in the outskirts of Srinagar city early Sunday morning. "On specific information generated by police, a joint team of police and the CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the Harwan area. The hiding militant fired at the security forces after which he was killed in a brief encounter."
Soldier killed in 'mysterious firing' in Jammu & Kashmir's Poonch

Police sources said the soldier has been identified as Subedar Jungveer Singh, who was posted on a forward post on LoC in Balakote area, where he sustained a bullet injury and died.
