The air quality in the Delhi-NCR region remained in the "severe" category on Sunday evening, as indicated by an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 471, according to data from the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).
In the national capital, the Anand Vihar station also reported "severe" air quality with PM 2.5 at 411 and PM 10 at 410, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
At the Bawana station, the PM 2.5 level reached 411, placing it in the "severe" category, while PM 10 was at 366, categorized as "very poor." The level of CO (carbon monoxide) was recorded at 78, categorized as "satisfactory."
Dwarka sector 8 station recorded a PM 10 level of 499 and PM 2.5 at 402, both in the "severe" category. CO was at 108, considered "moderate," and NO2 (nitrogen dioxide) was at 92, categorized as "satisfactory."
The air quality at the IGI Airport T3 area was in the "very poor" category, with PM 2.5 at 388 and PM 10 at 291, categorized as "poor." CO levels reached 30, and NO2 levels touched 61, both considered "satisfactory."
The PM 2.5 level at ITO was recorded at 368, categorizing it as "very poor," while PM 10 reached 229, placing it in the "poor" category. NO2 was at 163, categorized as "moderate," and CO was recorded at 112, also categorized as "moderate."
At Lodhi Road, the AQI with PM 2.5 concentration was at 353, categorized as "very poor," while PM 10 was recorded at 286, placing it in the "poor" category.
