Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to skip the Prime Minister's programme. He is also not likely to receive the Prime Minister when the latter arrives at Begumpet Airport from Visakhapatnam. This will be the fourth time this year that KCR will not be receiving Prime Minister Modi.

"I'm afraid my phone is tapped. My privacy is being infringed," she told reporters at Raj Bhavan. The Governor slammed the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for dragging Raj Bhavan into MLAs' poaching episode. She said the official TRS handle claimed that Raj Bhavan is involved in the case. "This is a false allegation. My office is transparent and all my works are in the open," she said.

"It was also stated that there will be social justice and women empowerment. But, for four years from 2014 to 2018, there was not a single woman minister in TRS government. Even after TRS's re-election, for almost a year, there was no woman minister. Apparently, women were not given representation in the Cabinet on the advice of some Tantriks," Nirmala Sitharaman said.
