Delhi liquor policy case: TRS leader Kavitha's name figures in ED's remand report

Kavitha, a member of Telangana Legislative Council and daughter of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been named as one of the members of 'South Group'. According to the remand report, businessman Vijay Nair, who has already been arrested in the case, received kickbacks of Rs 100 crore on behalf of AAP leaders from a group, called 'South Group'.
Sharmila detained on way to Telangana CM's residence for protest

The YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) leader herself was driving the car and proceeding towards Pragathi Bhavan as a mark of protest against the attack by ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). When Sharmila along with her supporters reached near the Yashoda Hospital on Raj Bhavan Road, the police stopped them. The YSRTP workers raised slogans against the ruling party. As they tried to proceed towards the chief minister's residence, police detained them.

Telangana BJP chief placed under house arrest to foil march

The police stopped Sanjay on way to Bhainsa on Sunday night and sent him back to Karimnagar as the permission was denied for his march due to apprehension of breach of peace. Large number of police personnel were deployed around Sanjay's house to prevent him from heading towards the town.

The convoy of Sanjay, who is also a Member of Parliament, was forced to stop near Tatipalli in Jagtiyal mandal. The police asked him to return citing lack of permission for the padyatra.

Protests in Telangana against PM Modi's visit
