The 15-player Indian team that will compete in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and the West Indies, which runs from June 1 to June 29, will be captained by Rohit Sharma.
Hardik Pandya, an all-round player, will be Rohit's deputy in the main event.
India's T20 World Cup story begins with a first war against Ireland at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, on June 5. This would be followed by a big clash against arch-nemesis Pakistan on June 9, again on the same iconic venue.
India has quite a few opponents to fight with hosts USA on June 12 to a big battle with Canada on June 15.
India's squad heading into the T20 World Cup boasts of an exciting line-up headed by Rohit Sharma. The dynamic Hardik Pandya would be his vice-captain. Others are the emerging stars Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and lastly Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson.
The batting lineup gets heftier with Shivam Dube, and this is further backed by spin bowling from Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. Not to mention the wily inventions of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. The pace battery is headlined by the lethal combination of Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohd. Siraj.
Apart from the regulars, the rotation has added the talented trio of Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, and seasoned campaigners Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan, all ready to be called up and deliver when they are required.
