WhatsApp enables disappearing messages by default for new chats

Meta-owned platform said that it is adding two new durations for disappearing messages: 24 hours and 90 days, as well as the existing option of 7 days. "When enabled, all new one-on-one chats you or another person start will be set to disappear at your chosen duration, and we've added a new option when creating a group chat that lets you turn it on for groups you create," WhatsApp said in a statement.

Bitcoin slumps up to 20% after Wall Street selloff

Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market value, was down 18 per cent at $46,571.84 according to data from CoinDesk. It temporarily dipped to $42,000 before bouncing back. Ether, the second-largest cryptocurrency, was down close to 16 per cent, the MarketWatch report said.
Extremists exploit new Twitter's private media policy

The new rules were announced just a day after Indian-origin Parag Agrawal took over from Co-founder Jack Dorsey as Twitter CEO. According to a report in The Washington Post, the extremist groups began abusing Twitter's new system shortly after it debuted. They used platforms like Telegram and Gab to organise against anti-extremist accounts that expose and keep track of white supremacists at hate rallies.

Musk took Twitter to talk about the long-awaited Tesla Cybertruck. "Initial production will be 4 motor variants, with independent, ultra-fast response torque control of each wheel," the CEO wrote while replying to a user. "Will have both front and rear-wheel steer, so not just like a tank -- it can drive diagonally like a crab," he added. Musk also mentioned that the product roadmap will be updated on the next earning call.
Vivo patents new smartphone with extendable display

The patent was published on December 2 and contains images of the sliding concept, reports GizmoChina. According to the patent drawings, the phone will have an extendable screen that expands from the right to enlarge the display to fit in more content, thanks to the additional screen real estate. The phone will come with a triple camera module that can be observed on the left side of the phone, which appears when the screen is extended.
Google Photos Locked Folder option starts arriving for more Android phones

Google in September announced that the feature would be rolling out to more Android phones soon and now it has started to show up on some Samsung and OnePlus devices, reports Android Central. The feature was released exclusively on newer Pixel phones in June. Once the feature is live, users will be able to set up this folder after they receive a notification from Google Photos.
