For nearly Rs 400 Cr Talentedge is now in hands of upGrad

Beginning its journey in 2015, the company offers it's services for over two million across 50 countries and over 300 university partners, with an enterprise business with a client base of 1,000 companies worldwide. This online tutoring platform has offices in the UK, India, the US, Middle East,  Singapore and Vietnam. 

Founded in 2015, upGrad, a Mumbai based startup, on Monday announced that it has acquired Talentedge. As per the sources, the acquisition is valued between Rs 350-RS 400 crore. Talentedge is a Gurugram based edtech rival of upGrad. Beginning its journey in 2015, the company offers it's services for over two million across 50 countries and over 300 university partners, with an enterprise business with a client base of 1,000 companies worldwide. This online tutoring platform has offices in the UK, India, the US, Middle East,  Singapore and Vietnam.

1. Founded in 2012, Talentedge, is currently the fourth largest online education player and the company is expected to reach a revenue of over Rs 130 crore this year while it aims to double its revenue in the coming year.

2. "Talentedge has meticulously built a strong business over the last decade and stayed the course in this space where most did not survive and we are very pleased to welcome them at upGrad as we build one of the largest EdTech companies in the world,"  Chairperson and Co-Founder of upGrad, Ronnie Screwvala said.

3. In a partnership with more than 20 countries, the edtech organization Talentedge provides more than 60 courses.

4.The company has more than 5,00,000 individual and corporate learners and has partnership with top Indian and international institutes including XLRI, IIMs, MICA, eCornell and UCLA extension, among others, and.

5. "Talentedge will continue to work as is with its university and institute partners to deliver the quality education to its learners across degree and certification programmes," CEO and MD at Talentedge, Aditya Malik said.
