As per the sources, once the commission submits its report, the Centre may take a call on holding the Assembly elections in J&K. The sources also said that the Centre will review all aspects including the security facets. The draft roll will be published, following which a 'door to door' verification of the electoral roll will be done. Centre will discuss the same during an all party meeting, the government sources elaborated.
Politics in MP heat up over Khargone violence

FIR against Digvijaya Singh for 'fake' post on Khargone violence

The FIR against Singh was registered at a Bhopal police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by the BJP district (Bhopal) president Sumit Pachauri on Tuesday. Singh, who is also the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, was booked under Section 153 (a), 295 (a), 465 and 505 (2) of the Indian Penal Code, sources told IANS.

The issue came to the fore after a Belagavi-based contractor, Santosh Patil, who was said to be a BJP worker, accused Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister K S Eshwarappa of corruption, and allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday. After the allegation surfaced in March the Congress has been demanding the sacking of Eshwarappa over the bribery allegation by the contractor who had written a letter to the Prime Minister.
