Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday praised the Indian Armed Forces for conducting a series of successful and accurate military operations along the border.
He highlighted that these operations were characterized by precision, vigilance, and a strong sense of responsibility, especially not causing any harm to civilians.
Symbolically referring, Singh compared the operation to the actions of Lord Hanuman, stating the forces kept his spirit alive while eliminating enemy threat.
Speaking to the people as he commissioned 50 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) infrastructure projects in six states and two Union Territories, Defence Minister asserted, "We have adopted the Hanuman ji principle, which he used when he destroyed Ashok Vatika – Those who struck me, I struck them. We hit only those who hurt our innocents." He emphasized that the operations reflected a rare combination of precision, prudence, and compassion.
The targets we had identified were hit with accuracy according to the well-laid out strategy. We have been so cautious in our strategy that no civilian population was harmed at all," Singh added, underscoring the methodical approach adopted by the army.
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for granting the Armed Forces the necessary autonomy to act decisively. “Under PM Modi’s leadership, our forces delivered a strong response by destroying the camps training terrorists,” he said.
Asserting India's strong resolve to counter terrorism, the Defence Minister reasserted the country's willingness to respond to any threat to its sovereignty. He further asserted that the operation was carried out with utmost care to demoralize terror organizations without crossing their respective installations.
This step on our behalf has been taken with utmost care and in a moderate way. To destroy the spirits of terrorists, this step has been taken only to their camps and other institutions. I again pay tribute to the bravery of our armed forces," he said.
The Military conducted the coordinated strike early on Wednesday morning, targeting big terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, successfully decimating the camps and killing more than 70 terrorists.
