In a thrilling shock to Indian fans, Tom Cruise is offering his fans an advance glimpse of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Scheduled initially to release on May 23, the eagerly anticipated movie will hit Indian theaters six days earlier than its release date in the United States.
The eighth and last episode of Cruise's legendary action franchise will now arrive in Indian cinemas on May 17. The viewers in the entire nation will see Ethan Hunt's final mission in various languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Making the announcement, Paramount Pictures posted on Twitter, "The Final Reckoning now releases early in India. New date - 17th May. Releasing in English, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu!"
Before it was officially released in theatres, the movie was also scheduled to debut at the highly prestigious Cannes Film Festival on May 14, building up greater expectations.
The Indian fans became ecstatic with the pre-release, calling it a bittersweet experience, keeping in mind the fact that this marks the end of the iconic and popular serial.
"That's crazy," the fan responded with sheer shock hearing the shocking announcement.
“Early release? Guess we’re all on a mission to the nearest theater! Can’t wait for the action!” wrote another enthusiastic viewer.
Another social media user dubbed the announcement the “best news” of the day.
But while the excitement was palpable, some fans expressed a sense of nostalgia and sadness. “This one will be emotional,” said one user, while another added, “We will never get to enjoy Ethan Hunt again.”
