This is after a horrific terror attack in Pahalgam, in which 26 tourists were killed. The attack, which took place in the scenic Baisaran locality of Anantnag district—accessible only by foot or horseback—has been described as one of the worst in the Kashmir Valley since the 2019 Pulwama terror attack.

Earlier set to be released on May 9, Abir Gulaal had released its trailer on April 1, giving viewers a look into a romance filled story of banter.

The movie is directed by Aarti S Bagdi and co-produced by Vivek B Agrawal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy. The banner Indian Stories started shooting the film on September 29 last year, with principal photography being held across picturesque UK locations over October and November.

Fawad Khan, a popular face from Pakistani entertainment, debuted in Bollywood in 2014 with the romantic drama Khoobsurat, playing opposite Sonam Kapoor directed by Shashanka Ghosh. The film, a remake of the 1980 original of the same title, also starred Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Aamir Raza Hussain.
