Lutyens' Delhi saw a high-profile but low-key wedding on Friday when Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal's daughter Harshita married her college mate Sambhav Jain. The couple met while studying at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. Both families decided to keep the ceremonies low-profile and opted for a private function, away from the glare of the media. The ceremony and reception took place at Kapurthala House — the Chief Minister's Punjab House while in Delhi. Attending was among the guest invites Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, who turned up with Kejriwal in evidence of the great friendship the two shared.  A jaimala, in accordance with traditional form, occurred during the afternoon. It was preceded and followed by an evening reception in which the attendees continued unabated. It involved high-profile AAP members. The engagement took place on Thursday night at Delhi’s Shangri-La Hotel and remained a close-knit affair, attended by immediate family and a few select guests, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The celebrations led up to the wedding, which was held on April 18 at Kapurthala House, the official residence of the Punjab CM when he visits the national capital. Harshita and her fiancé, Sambhav Jain, initially met at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, where she studied Chemical Engineering. Harshita graduated in 2018 and joined Boston Consulting Group in Gurugram, while Sambhav, who is now a project management consultant in the private sector, has entrepreneurial inclinations like her.
