Matthew McConaughey thinking over probable Texas governor run

In a recent interview with talk radio host Hugh Hewitt on Wednesday, he appeared to be considering the idea when a discussion on politics came up.

Oscar-winning Matthew McConaughey might be the next big celebrity to try out his hands at politics. In a recent interview with talk radio host Hugh Hewitt on Wednesday, he appeared to be considering the idea when a discussion on politics came up. 

The Dallas Buyers Club and Magic Mike star didn't rule out the possibility when asked if he would ever run for governor of Texas or another political office. Matthew was born and raised in Texas before moving to Los Angeles taking up a successful movie career. During the interview, he expressed his political philosophy as being "behind personal values to rebind our social contracts with each other as Americans."
