Hollywood legend Jennifer Lopez will be leading the cast in Netflix's new psychological thriller, an on-screen adaptation of The Last Mrs. Parrish, the best-selling novel by author Liv Constantine.
The movie will be directed by Academy Award-winning director Robert Zemeckis, who is renowned for his contributions to iconic films such as Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, and Cast Away. Variety reports that Netflix acquired the rights to the book way back in 2021.
The story goes into the manipulative mind of a clever con artist who has her targets set on invading the picture-perfect lives of a rich couple named the Parrishes. What follows is a suspenseful game of ambition and deception.
The writing is currently underway by the award-winning, skillful Andrea Berloff and John Gatins. Production wise, the show assembles some stellar talent on board: Something Happy Productions' Molly Sims, Liza Chasin of 3dot Productions, and, naturally, the names Jennifer Lopez herself, along with Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina for their Nuyorican Productions company.
Lopez, who most recently starred in 2024 release Unstoppable, which is directed by William Goldenberg, continues to spread her wings with this chilling new role.
