With the cases of corona infection decreasing, the Delhi government has allowed students of class 10th to 12th to go to school and college for admission related work. From Monday, schools will be open for admission, practical, counseling or other practical activities, as per the Delhi Disaster Management Authority(DDMA) order.
However, the teaching process is not to be started yet at schools, coaching institutes and Universities until further notice.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) agreed last Friday to form a committee comprised of officials from the education and health ministries to devise a strategy for reopening educational institutions in the Capital.

According to the Hindustan Times, The DDMA meeting was led by lieutenant governor Anil Baijal, who is also the DDMA vice-chairperson, and was attended by Delhi chief minister and DDMA vice-chairperson Arvind Kejriwal, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, and health minister Satyendar Jain. The conference was attended by NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul, AIIMS chief Dr Randeep Guleria, ICMR director general Dr Balram Bhargava, and NCDC director Dr Sujit Singh.
In the instructions released by the DDMA on Sunday, it is suggested that the direction to open theatres and multiplexes with 50% seating capacity be maintained. Similarly, auditoriums with a capacity of 50% will be opened in the assembly hall. In auto rickshaws, rural taxis, rapid service taxis, and cabs, no more than two passengers will be permitted. Religious institutions will remain open as previously, but no worship events will be permitted.
On Saturday, the DDMA approved the establishment of weekly markets around the city beginning on Monday, subject to sellers and visitors adhering to COVID-19 guidelines.
The DDMA has also approved the establishment of health check-up camps in schools and colleges. Children of any age are welcome to go there with their parents or guardians and be tested. During this time, all corona-prevention precautions must be carefully enforced.

Due of the Covid-19 epidemic, schools and universities in the national capital have been suspended since March last year. Between January and February, classes were resumed in a gradual way before being halted again due to the fourth wave of the crisis in the Capital.
