According to the official spokesman, Uttar Pradesh has so far given out over 32.70 crore total vaccine doses. Out of these, over 17,41,06,125 are first doses, while over 14,92,89,434 individuals are fully vaccinated. So far, over 2,44,29,882 vaccine doses have been administered to children in the age group of 15-17 and over 97,90,992 vaccine doses have been administered to children in the age group of 12-14 in the state.

Delhi sizzles as maximum temperatures hover near 41 C, humidity up
The plains of northwest India are set to witness a rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. Safdarjung, Delhi's base station, recorded maximum temperature of 40.2 degrees Celsius even as maximum temperatures recorded at other stations across Delhi ranged from 38.9 degrees Celsius at Mayur Vihar to 42.4 degrees Celsius at Pitampura.

Muslim side questions maintainability of Gyanvapi petition
As hearing began in the court of District Judge Dr A.K. Vishvesha, the Muslim lawyers cited the Places of Worship Act 1991 and claimed that the petition was not maintainable. Abhay Yadav, the lawyer for the Muslim side, said that rumours of a 'Shivling' being found inside the mosque were being deliberated floated to create confusion.
Yasin Malik won't be given any work in Tihar, will be alone in his cell
Malik, 56, was sentenced to life on Wednesday by a special NIA court in Delhi. During the previous hearing, Malik told the Court that he was not contesting the charges levelled against him. He may not even challenge the sentencing in higher courts as he has himself pleaded guilty which means by all means, Malik will spend the rest of his life in Jail.
