Srirangapatna's Jamia Masjid is becoming Gyanvapi of Karnataka
Aswathi.S., District Commissioner (DC) of Mandya, has already received a petition by the activists to carry out an inspection to verify if the Jamia Masjid was built on the ruins of a Hanuman temple. "The DC has informed us that she has already sent out a request to the government. If the government does not respond, we are ready to approach the court," C.T. Delhi sees marginal decline in daily Covid tally with 479 cases

Places of Worship Act put to test as Gyanvapi case goes to Supreme Court
The law has been invoked by the Committee of Management, Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Varanasi, which manages the Gyanvapi mosque, before the Supreme Court, saying mischievous attempts were being made to change the character of the mosque, which existed for 500 years. In the Ayodhya judgment, the Supreme Court had said that the Act is intrinsically related to the obligations of a secular state and it reflects the commitment of India to equality of all religions.
Gyanvapi row: Court grants bail to DU professor arrested for derogatory post
Lal was presented before Tis Hazari Court on Saturday afternoon. He was placed under arrest on Friday night by the Civil Lines Police, and granted bail on Saturday on furnishing a bond of Rs 50,000 and surety on the like amount. On May 18, the police registered an FIR against the History professor of Delhi University's Hindu College for posting provocative content.
