Ministers from the Yogi Adityanath government are being deployed in Gujarat for the election campaign. The Assembly elections in Gujarat will be held in two phases on December 1 and 5. The BJP has been in power in Gujarat for 27 years and this is the first time that the ruling party faces a double challenge from the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The officer is now a constable -- the post on which he began his career. According to official sources, DSP Vidya Kishore Sharma, has been demoted after the government took cognisance of a video of him accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh.
Gyanvapi case: Notice to VVSS chief over 'power of attorney' to Yogi Adityanath

Asking Visen to clarify whether the chief minister's prior consent had been taken in the matter, police have given him three days to reply or face legal action. Inspector Chowk Shivakant Mishra issued the notice to Visen, referring to his statement published in newspapers claiming that he would give the power of attorney of all five Gyanvapi related cases being contested in different courts by VVSS or associated people to the chief minister.

The district government counsel (DGC) Alok Chandra Shukla, however, termed it a publicity gimmick and said, "There is no question of giving the power of attorney to the Chief Minister in this matter." Visen refused to divulge whether the Chief Minister was willing to accept the offer or if there was any communication in this regard. "We have sent our proposal to the Chief Minister. In fact, our lawyers have already started preparing the legal documents for this purpose," he said.

The four ministers, who are holding ministerial positions along with party posts include Arvind Kumar Sharma, Daya Shankar Singh, J.P.S. Rathore and Narendra Kashyap. Arvind Kumar Sharma is minister for power and urban development and is also holding the post of party vice president in the state. Daya Shankar Singh is also state party vice president and a minister for transport.
Yogi to hold roadshows abroad for investors' summit

According to the government spokesman, the chief minister is scheduled to travel to at least four countries in November to lead the UP Global Investor Summit 2023 road shows. As per the tentative programme, Yogi Adityanath will travel to Russia, the US, Mauritius and Thailand. The road shows will pass through 21 cities across 19 countries via nine routes, ahead of the Global Investors' Summit.

SP march to UP Assembly stopped, Akhilesh on dharna

Led by SP president Akhilesh Yadav, about 119 MLAs and MLCs, along with other party leaders, started marching towards the Assembly on Monday morning but were stopped by the police since they did not have the requisite permission. Police officials asked the SP MLAs to take an alternative route to the Assembly but they refused.
