BJP sweeps UP Council polls, SP draws a blank

The Samajwadi Party suffered a humiliating defeat and could not win even a single seat. Three seats were won by independent candidates. The Jansatta Dal, floated by Raghuraj Pratap Singh a.k.a. Raja Bhaiyya, retained the Pratapgarh seat where Akshay Pratap Singh Gopalji was the candidate.
Yogi assures action on grievances of people

The Chief Minister directed the officials to expedite the settlement of land measurement and revenue related matters in the tehsils. He also instructed them to ensure quality resolution of problems in police stations and tehsils so that justice is done in each case. Yogi Adityanath also offered prayers at the Gorakhnath temple. He visited a Gaushala, where he performed 'Gauseva' and fed the calves jaggery and 'chana' before leaving for Delhi.
Yogi govt promises strict action after UP CMO's Twitter hacked

The state CMO's Twitter account was briefly hacked in the early hours of Saturday and was immediately restored. Twitter had suspended the account after observing unnatural activity. Before it got restored, the unnamed hackers had sent out 400-500 tweets from the account.
Yogi adds new dimension to Namami Gange project

The state government has planned to revive the extinct wells and convert them into recharging wells, and at the same time, to bring to life the ponds and establish village forests on their banks. The plan also includes rejuvenating 19 of the 22 tributaries of the Gomti river that have dried up. This campaign is scheduled to start on April 6 across the state and will continue till May 3.
Shivpal meets Yogi, sets off speculations

Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia (PSPL) president Shivpal Yadav met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the latter's residence on Wednesday evening , setting off political speculations. After the meeting that lasted about 45 minutes, Shivpal said that it was a 'mere courtesy call'. He said that he had not met Yogi Adityanath after his victory in elections and had come to convey his good wishes to the chief minister.
Yogi, Akhilesh welcome Mahana as Assembly Speaker

Yogi distributes portfolios, keeps 34 for himself

As per the official release, the Chief Minister has retained home, vigilance, revenue, general administration, information, estate department, institutional finance, Sachivalaya administration, mining, food security, housing, civil aviation and law, among others.
Yogi extends free ration scheme by three months

In his first decision after taking over the reins of Uttar Pradesh for the second time in a row, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday announced to extend the free ration scheme by three more months. Talking to reporters here, the Chief Minister said that under the scheme, costing around Rs 3,270 crore, approximately 15 crore people of the state will be provided pulses, oil, salt and sugar, besides food grains, free of cost.
