Raut expressed displeasure, stating, "You worship Lord Ram and rule like Ravan (demon king). Lord Ram will curse you. All film stars are invited, but the Thackeray family, which has been closely associated with the movement, is treated in such a manner."

Addressing reporters after visiting the Mumbadevi temple, the deity after which Mumbai city is named, Fadnavis stated, “I don’t respond to fools. But I can say one thing – stop insulting Hindus.”

In the legal challenge, concerns are raised about the dismissal of disqualification petitions against CM Shinde and other MLAs accused of anti-party activities.

The Shiv Sena witnessed a division in June 2022 following a rebellion led by Shinde, while the NCP faced a split after Ajit Pawar joined the state government with eight MLAs in July of the previous year.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, addressing reporters on Sunday, condemned Rane for allegedly insulting Hinduism by questioning the Shankaracharyas' contribution. Raut demanded an apology from the BJP before January 22, the scheduled date for the idol consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He further urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to remove Rane from the Union cabinet.

Notably, Vishva Hindu Parishad working president Alok Kumar, RSS leader Ram Lal, and Ram temple construction committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra had previously invited President Murmu to the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

As a result, Uddhav Thackeray has lost control over the original Shiv Sena, founded by his late father, Balasaheb Thackeray, to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Despite this development, Thackeray's legislative group of 13 MLAs, including his son Aditya Thackeray, has not been disqualified.
