Having stood as an ally of the Samajwadi Party, the Apna Dal (K) witnessed its leader Pallavi Patel securing an MLA position under the Samajwadi symbol.

In a strategic move, Ziaur-Rehman Barq has been nominated to contend for the Sambhal seat, succeeding his late grandfather, Shafiqur-Rehman Barq, the incumbent MP.

The verdict comes after the court found four out of the seven accused guilty, which includes retired circle officer Ale Hasan, former municipal president Azhar Ahmed Khan, and contractor Barkat Ali. The case, widely discussed, saw its culmination on March 16.

Yadav's participation in the yatra comes after the finalization of the seat-sharing agreement between the Samajwadi Party and the Congress last week, showcasing a collaborative effort between the two parties.

The policy, successfully implemented during the 2022 Assembly elections, saw RLD agreeing to field SP's chosen candidates under its party symbol. However, RLD sources now deem this policy unacceptable.

This strategic alliance was formally announced through social media by SP President Akhilesh Yadav and RLD Chief Jayant Chaudhary. Yadav expressed his enthusiasm for the alliance in a post on X, stating, "Congratulations to everyone on the alliance of RLD and SP. Let us all unite for victory."

Late on Saturday night, Akhilesh Yadav took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to acknowledge the invitation and confirmed that he, along with his family, would visit the Ram Temple as devotees after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
