On Thursday, Power Department officials, with high security, raided Barq's residence after suspecting the electricity meter was being tampered with. In their inspection, they found that two electricity meters were being operated in an irregular manner.

During the raid, irregularities were detected in two electricity meters installed at the MP's house. The investigation revealed that electricity usage was zero in the last one year, where there was consumption of air conditioner, ceiling fan, and all other electric appliances.
