Reliance Jio partners Meta, Google, Microsoft, Intel to roll out 5G in India

While Jio partnered Mark Zuckerberg-led Meta (formering Facebook) for immersive technology, it has collaborated with Google to develop ultra-affordable 5G smartphones. On Cloud, Jio has partnered Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure to ensure a vibrant ecosystem of cloud-enabled business applications and solutions for its millions of users.
Financial Bids for Reliance Capital to be submitted on Monday

The bidders will submit their final non binding indicative bids under two options. Under option 1, bidders can bid for Reliance Capital as a Core Investment Company (CIC), while the second option gives the bidders freedom to buy RCAP's different business clusters, either individually or in combination. Though the lenders are more keen to sell Reliance Capital as a company (CIC) than individual businesses separately.

Jio said that its unique 700 MHz spectrum footprint will make it the only operator providing "true 5G" services across the country. Sunil Mittal's Bharti Airtel was the second-highest bidder with 19,867 MHz spectrum in various bands worth Rs 43,084 crore, in the auction that spanned for seven days with 40 rounds. Vodafone Idea, at third place, received 2,668 MHz worth Rs 18,784 crore while a unit of Adani Group acquired 400 MHz spectrum in 26 GHz band worth Rs 212 crore.
5G spectrum auction sees bids worth Rs 1,50,130 cr after 37 rounds

Led by Reliance Jio with over Rs 80,100 crore and Bharati Airtel with around Rs 50,000 crore worth bids, the 5G spectrum auction will continue on Monday. While Vodafone Idea has placed bids for about Rs 15,000 crore, a unit of Adani Enterprises has placed bids around Rs 5,000 crore.
RCAP resolution plan submission deadline likely to be extended yet again

According to sources, few bidders, including Piramal, Torrent, Oaktree and IndusInd, have written to the RCAP Administrator to extend the deadline by 20 to 35 days. The RCAP resolution plan submission date has already been extended four times in the past couple of months. The current deadline to submit the plan ends on August 10, while the original date was May 26.
India sees 5G spectrum bids worth Rs 1,49,855 cr, Reliance Jio leads

The bids for 5G airwaves are being led by Reliance Jio, followed by Bharti Airtel, Vodafone-Idea and a Gautam Adani company. According to Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the cumulative bid on Day 3 (Thursday) had reached Rs 1,49,623 crore. Vaishnaw said that the ongoing 5G spectrum auction indicates that the country's telecom industry has come a long way in 5G advancements.
Reliance Jio posts robust set of numbers for Q1 FY23

As per the results, Reliance Jio revenue from operations jumped 21.6 per cent to Rs 21,873 crore compared to Rs 17,994 crore in the June 2021 quarter. The pre-tax profits were up by 23.9 per cent to Rs 5,818 crore compared to Rs 4,695 crore in June 2021. The net profit for the quarter was up 23.8 per cent to Rs 4,335 crore compared to Rs 3,501 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year.
