Blinken, who arrived in Tel Aviv on Monday marking his second trip to the war-torn nation since Hamas launched its unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7, announced the visit at the end of an over seven-hour long meeting with the Jewish state's war cabinet, CNN reported. 

In a statement on Sunday, the President's campaign said that his political operation with the Democratic National Committee ended the quarter with $91 million, CNN reported.

That the position, which is considered second in line to the presidency, should be vacant at a time when the US is dealing with two wars -- one that started earlier this week between Israel and the Hamas, and the other that has carried over from February 2022 between Russia and Ukraine -- has frustrated many Republicans. And the words “clown”, “clown car” and “clown show” are used frequently by them for their fellow Republicans.

The Biden administration’s embrace of Israel is tight and complete.

In an interview with CBS News which will be aired on Sunday, the President said: "I say we're going to do everything in our power to find them. Everything in our power. And I'm not going to go into the detail of that, but there's -- we're working like hell on it." His remarks came after he spoke to the families of the missing Americans on Friday on a conference call.

Released this week, the poll conducted between October 6-9, showed that the Indian-American former South Carolina Governor has made the greatest gains since September, having doubled her numbers with 10% support. Haley also garnered the highest number of defections among Democrats (9 per cent support her), while Trump gets the least (5 per cent of Democrats back him).

While addressing a roundtable of Jewish community leaders on Wednesday afternoon, the President had said: “It matters that Americans see what's happening -- I mean, I have been doing this a long time, I never really thought that I would see, have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children.” 

Speaking from the White House State Dining Room on Tuesday, Biden urged Congress to "take urgent action to fund the national security requirements of our critical partners", saying the funding "is not about party or politics. It's about the security of our world, the security of the United States of America". 

The announcement on Biden's forthcoming statement has come exactly three days after the Hamas fighters infiltrated into Israeli territory and launched a surprise offensive, triggering an all-out war between the two sides that has left 1,600 dead to the last count.

"As we continue to account for the horrors of the appalling terrorist assault against Israel this weekend and the hundreds of innocent civilians who were murdered, we are seeing the immense scale and reach of this tragedy. Sadly, we now know that at least 11 American citizens were among those killed -- many of whom made a second home in Israel," the President was quoted as saying in a statement released by the White House on Monday.
