Released this week, the poll conducted between October 6-9, showed that the Indian-American former South Carolina Governor has made the greatest gains since September, having doubled her numbers with 10% support. Haley also garnered the highest number of defections among Democrats (9 per cent support her), while Trump gets the least (5 per cent of Democrats back him).

While addressing a roundtable of Jewish community leaders on Wednesday afternoon, the President had said: “It matters that Americans see what's happening -- I mean, I have been doing this a long time, I never really thought that I would see, have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children.” 

Speaking from the White House State Dining Room on Tuesday, Biden urged Congress to "take urgent action to fund the national security requirements of our critical partners", saying the funding "is not about party or politics. It's about the security of our world, the security of the United States of America". 

The announcement on Biden's forthcoming statement has come exactly three days after the Hamas fighters infiltrated into Israeli territory and launched a surprise offensive, triggering an all-out war between the two sides that has left 1,600 dead to the last count.

"As we continue to account for the horrors of the appalling terrorist assault against Israel this weekend and the hundreds of innocent civilians who were murdered, we are seeing the immense scale and reach of this tragedy. Sadly, we now know that at least 11 American citizens were among those killed -- many of whom made a second home in Israel," the President was quoted as saying in a statement released by the White House on Monday.

Biden's tight alliance with organised labour has unnerved some of his business supporters that they fear he might lose the support of the corporate world and their honchos due to his rhetoric and administrations actions. 

The security aid -- which stands cumulatively $43.9 billion since the start of the war in February 2022 -- is in danger.

This diplomatic maneuver is aimed at mending and stabilizing the relationship between the world's two most influential nations, Washington Post reported quoting senior officials within the Biden administration.

Although the US Secret Service has confirmed 11 such incidents so far, the sources told CNN that the number was higher and includes executive residence staff and other White House workers. 

Biden signed off the twin legislations passed by the Senate 88-9 and House 335-81 that first speaker Kevin McCarthy moved in the House and passed with the help of Democrats and liberal minded Republicans that allows government to draw funds to pay out federal agencies until November 17 in a 45-day period but excluded funding for Ukraine. The total funding was $16 billion.
